UK house prices to rise 10% next year

Latest Nationwide data showed house prices rose 2 per cent in November, and 25.5 per cent year-on-year.

Last December, Nationwide forecast house prices would rise six per cent this year.

Earlier this week, Britain's biggest mortgage lender, HBOS, forecast house prices would rise nine per cent in 2003. Its latest monthly survey found prices rose 1.4 per cent in November, to be 29.2 per cent higher year-on-year.
