According to Met Éireann it will be cloudy and humid once the early morning rain disappears at around 9 or 10 a.m.

A spokesman told ireland.comrevellers can expect a "fairly pleasant" day with some sunny patches. But although it is not expected to be as cool as today, fans should "watch out for a few rainy spots".

Gates open at 11 a.m., and the concert starts at 12.30 p.m. According to AA Roadwatch there will be no access to Slane prior to 11.00 a.m. Only ticket holders will be allowed past the barriers.

From 8 p.m. tonight, Slane village will be sealed off to all traffic until 3 a.m. on Sunday morning.

There will be traffic diversions on both sides of the N2 at Ardee and Kilmoon Cross. Gardaí will be at these diversion points.

AA Roadwatch says these diversions will re-route traffic travelling to Dublin from Louth, Monaghan and Northern Ireland at the roundabout north of Ardee, where a diversion sign will indicate the route that links to the M1.

Traffic heading North will divert at Kilmoon Cross on the N2, north of Ashbourne, and travel via Duleek and Drogheda onto the N1. Traffic heading to Monaghan and the North heads towards to Ardee and rejoin the N2 north of Ardee.

No roadside parking will be allowed near the main concert site. AA Roadwatch advises those driving to the event to use the ample car-parking space available on all approach roads into Slane.

For those going by bus, tickets cost £13 return and are available from Dublin Bus or Ticketmaster. Buses will leave every 20 minutes from 59 O’Connell Street until 3 p.m.
