Two women died in separate road collisions yesterday in counties Limerick and Kilkenny.
A young mother from Abbeyfeale, Co Limerick, was killed in a two-car collision at Ballymurrough East, Newcastle West, at 6 p.m. She was a passenger in one of the cars.
Her husband and baby son, and the driver of the other car were treated for injuries at Limerick Regional Hospital.
A 65-year-old Co Kilkenny woman was killed when a truck collided with the car in which she was a passenger, two miles outside Mooncoin on the Carrick-on-Suir road shortly before 3.30 p.m.

The driver of the car was taken to Waterford General hospital, where he was in a critical condition last night. The truck driver suffered minor injuries.
