Two men appeared at a special sitting of Midleton District Court last evening on charges connected with a major drugs find in east Cork over the past 36 hours. They were remanded in custody with consent to bail.
Mr Robert Hardrick (41), of John Redmond Street, Shandon, Cork and Mr John Lynch (27) of Frankfield, Grange, Douglas, Cork, were ordered to surrender their passports and to report daily to the gardai.
They were charged with possession of cannabis and also with having the drug for supply. The court was told that cannabis with an estimated value of £300,000 had been discovered in Midleton.
