Gardaí are continuing to question two men today in relation to burglaries on rural pubs, including one involving the death of a Co Offaly publican last year.
Gardaí investigating the murder of Matt Farrell in Co Offaly last year this week renewed an appeal to the public for information.
Two arrests were made by gardaí on May 19th and two more yesterday. Two of those detained have been released, while two men are still being questioned at Tullamore Garda station.
Mr Farrell was found tied to a chair in the downstairs area of his pub, The Gaelic Bar, in Daingean, by his son Matthew at about 7.30am on April 1st, 2009. A postmortem examination found he died as a result of head injuries.
