Gardaí in Dundalk, Co Louth, are seeking two men in connection with an armed car-jacking which took place last night.
Two masked males forced a couple from a Volkswagen Bora in Faughart at around 11.30 pm, a Garda spokesman said.
A shot was fired into the air during the incident but no-one was injured. The masked men took off in the vehicle in the direction of Jonesborough.
Gardai are seeking a man of approximately 5ft 10in who was wearing a gray and white striped hoodie. He is described as being of a stocky build.

A second man, who is described as being slightly taller and slimmer than the first man and who was wearing dark clothing, is also sought.
