A 21-year-old man who died in an accident on the main Limerick-Thurles road on Wednesday evening was named yesterday as Mr Sean Carey, of Forgestown, Horse and Jockey, Co Tipperary.
The car in which he was a passenger struck a wall at Upperchurch, Co Tipperary, at about 6 p.m. The driver was treated for injuries in Nenagh General Hospital.
A pedestrian died after he was struck by a car at Inverin, Co Galway, on Wednesday night. He was named yesterday as Mr James Finnerty (56), from Carraroe, Co Galway.
