Two men were hospitalised in Waterford overnight after being beaten in a robbery that netted the attackers just €2.
The two victims, in their twenties, were attacked by three people thought to be in their late teens. The robbers escaped with the money and some jewellery.
The incident took place on Manor Street at around 3 a.m.
Gardaí have appealed to witnesses who may have been in the Manor Street or Cork Road area of Waterford at around 3 a.m. yesterday to come forward.
