Two people have died in overnight road accidents.
One man died in Co Kilkenny last night when his motorcycle was in what is thought to have been a head-on collision with a car near Jenkinstown.
The driver of the car was taken to hospital but is not thought to be seriously injured.
In Mullingar, Co Westmeath, a man in his 70s was killed when he was struck by a car.

That accident happened at around 1.30 a.m.
