A man and a woman were killed near Athlone Co Westmeath last night when their car went out of control. Three others were taken from the scene at Ballykeeran, about two miles from Athlone, and were brought to Portiuncula hospital in Ballinasloe.
Garda∅ in Athlone believe the accident took place at about 9:45 last night.
