Two injured in Belfast petrol bomb attack

A man and woman were taken to hospital after a petrol bomb was hurled into their west Belfast home last night.

A man and woman were taken to hospital after a petrol bomb was hurled into their west Belfast home last night.

The pair were upstairs when the device was thrown through the letterbox of the Springfield Road address at at 9.50pm.

The victims were taken to hospital but did not suffer serious injuries, meanwhile, police are tracking two men seen running away from the scene.

The attackers escaped in a silver saloon car along the Springfield Road after the attack.

One of the men is described as being 25-years-old, 5ft 8ins tall, of stocky build, wearing a grey baseball cap, grey and silver hooded top and blue tracksuit bottoms and blue trainers.

The second man is said to have been 5ft 8ins tall, of slim build and wearing a baseball cap, light coloured top and tracksuit bottoms.
