Two die in sepatate road traffic collisions

A 22-year-old man has died following a road traffic collision at Castlemaine, Co Kerry shortly after 9pm last night.

A 22-year-old man has died following a road traffic collision at Castlemaine, Co Kerry shortly after 9pm last night.

The man died when the car he was driving collided with another car.

The male passenger in the car has been taken to Kerry General Hospital with serious injuries.

The two occupants of the other car, a male and female, are being treated for minor injuries.

Meanwhile a 19-year-old man has died following a road traffic collision in Clonmel, Co Tipperary.

The collision occurred at 9.15pm last Thursday at Jackson's Cross, Cahir Road, Clonmel. The deceased was driving a motorbike when he was in collision with a car.

He was removed by ambulance to Cashel hospital and later transferred to Cork University Hospital. He died from his injuries late yesterday evening.

The deceased has been named as James Cassin, age 19, from Wilderness Grove, Clonmel.
