A man (26) and a woman aged in her 70s have died following separate road incidents in counties Sligo and Cork last night.
The man died when the motorcycle he was riding hit a ditch at Doonmarray near Ballygawley, Co Sligo, at 8.20pm. He was removed to Sligo General Hospital and was pronounced dead a short time later.
The road is closed for examination, and diversions are in place.

Earlier in Co Cork, a woman died when the car she was driving was involved in a two-car collision at Dromgarriff near Glengarriff shortly after 7.30pm. The driver of the second car, a man in his 50s, was uninjured.
Diversions are also in place as gardaí carry out an examination.
