Two men have appeared before the Dublin District Court this morning in connection with a €13 million drug haul made in Lusk, Co Dublin, over the weekend.

Gardaí discovered up to a tonne of cannabis resin and 30 kilogrammes of cocaine on a business premises in Lusk, on Saturday afternoon.

Mr Colm McDonald (36) from Lusk and Mr Julian Gilloughly (27) from Henrietta House near Bolton Street were charged with possession with intent to supply drugs under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Bail was set at €15,000 each, with an independent surety of €50,000 each. More charges are expected to brought and the investigation into the seizure is ongoing.

The two will appear before Clover Hill District Court in a week's time.

A third man who was arrested in connection with the seizure was released without charge.
