Two English police officers have been arrested as part of an FBI inquiry into child pornography on the Internet.
The arrests came after FBI agents tapped into United States-based websites containing indecent images of children and collected the names of credit card subscribers.
The FBI agents then sent a list of thousands of British Internet users suspected of subscribing to the sites to police forces in the UK.
In Sussex, an officer was arrested on charges of possessing child porn after a computer was seized from his home in Bexhill.
In London, a 26-year-old officer from Camden was arrested at his home in north London on suspicion of making indecent images of children. Police also seized computer equipment during a raid on his house.
Both officers were suspended from duty shortly before being arrested early in August, and both have been released on bail.
