A man and a woman have been arrested in relation to the murder of a taxi driver in Dublin on Tuesday night.
Mark Smyth (31), was stabbed and died in the front garden of a house in Blanchardstown after he was allegedly attacked by two people he had carried as passengers in his car.
A Garda statement said a man and a woman, both in their 20s, were arrested this evening.
"Both are being detained at Blanchardstown Garda station under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984," the statement added.
Mr Smyth, with an address in Duleek, Co Meath died after he was allegedly stabbed repeatedly in the body and neck following a row with a man to whom he had given a lift. His partner and 18-month-old son were in the taxi and witnessed the attack.
