Two people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Rachel O'Reilly whose body was found in north Co Dublin last month.
A man and a woman were arrested in separate operations in Dublin this morning.
The man in his thirties was detained in the Ballyfermot area at around 10 a.m. and taken to Balbriggan Garda Station.
The woman, also in her thirties, was arrested about an hour later in the south city and taken to Drogheda Garda Station.
They are both being held under Section 30 of the Criminal Justice Act and can be detained for 72 hours without charge.
Ms O'Reilly, a mother-of-two, had sustained several blows to the head when she was found by her mother at her home at Baldarragh, near Naul village, on October 4th.
Gardaí discovered drawers pulled out in the kitchen and sitting room of the house, indicating a possible burglary, but there was no sign of struggle or forced entry.
Her family believe her assailant was known to her and that Ms O'Reilly (30) was killed to conceal the attacker's identity.
Her husband, Mr Joe O'Reilly, made an appeals on television and radio for assistance in tracking down her killer and believes the burglary may have been staged.
