The Garda in Dublin are investigating two armed robberies in the city last night.
In one incident around €29,000 was taken in an armed raid on the Wharf Tavern pub on the East Wall Road.
The manager of the pub was confronted by an armed man wearing a balaclava. The manager was tied up and struck on the head. He is not believed to have been seriously hurt.
In the second incident, three men in balaclavas made off with a sum of money from the Jurys Inn Hotel on Customs House Quay at around 10.30 p.m. They were reported leaving the scene in a small white car.
