Turkey coach Senol Gunes has named out-of-sorts striker and captain Hakan Sukur to start in the World Cup semi-final against Brazil today.
Gunes had been under pressure to axe Sukur after a poor performance in the Turks' quarter-final victory over Senegal last Saturday.
Sukur was replaced midway through the second half after squandering several chances against the Senegalese and has yet to score a single goal in the tournament.
His replacement Ilhan Mansiz scored a superb golden goal winner in extra-time, prompting speculation that Gunes may drop Sukur for the semi-final.
But Sukur was back to captain an unchanged Turkey side as the underdogs attempt to cause an upset against Brazil and go through to take on Germany in the final on Sunday in Yokohama.
Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari meanwhile made one change from the side which defeated England in last Friday's quarter-final, Edilson coming in for the suspended Ronaldinho with Rivaldo dropping back into midfield.
Brazil's wingback Roberto Carlos is on a yellow card and will miss the final or ace playoff if he receives a further caution, as will five Turkish players in the same position.
