The 1921 Anglo-Irish Treaty document is to be put on display for the public for the first time as part of a new online exhibition by the National Archives of Ireland.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny and the Minister for Arts and Heritage Jimmy Deenihan will tomorrow launch the on-line exhibition on the Anglo-Irish Treaty which can be found on the website of the National Archives.
This year marks the 90th anniversary of the negotiations which led to the signing of the Treaty in the early hours of Tuesday December 6th, 1921.
The Anglo-Irish Treaty, signed in the aftermath of the truce which ended the War of Independence, gave effect to the establishment of the 26-county Irish Free State.
