It's coming close to the end of the summer holidays and, if you wanted to have one last memorable and adventurous outing for the children, then Oakwood Coaster Country could fit the bill. Up to the end of the month this Welsh theme park is open until 10 p.m, and each day ends with a spectacular light show and fireworks display. New to Oakwood this year is the 17-storey Bounce experience. Both Irish Ferries and Stena Line have trips, which include crossing, coach to the park and entrance for £83 for a family of two adults and two children. A word from experience, a visit to Oakwood is a long, long day out, but well worth it.
