BREW Blanc (Christopher Lloyd of Taxi and Back To The Future fame) is having a very bad day at the office. Nothing is going his way. As an animator, he has been instructed to revamp the studio's flagship cartoon. This goodie-two-shoes kiddies' favourite is called The Fluffy Fluffy Bun Bun Show and the powers-that-be think the best way to keep the show at the top of the ratings is to introduce more Fluffy Bun Buns.
Drew, who has ideas of his own about the future, wishes he could get his favourite creation - Flux Wildly, a streetwise type - on to the small screen.
Drew falls asleep in the studio, only to be awoken in the early hours by the saintly airs of The Fluffy Fluffy Bun Bun Show. As he searches for the remote to switch his worst nightmare off, he is transported by a freak accident into the cartoon world of his own creations.
After meeting the appallingly cheerful king of Cutopia and teaming up with Flux, Drew learns that the only way back to reality is to find the 12 ingredients for the Cutifier. The Cutifier is the antidote to the Malevolator, which the villain of the piece is using to devastate Cutopia.
In this adventure Christopher Lloyd, who stays in his human form, inhabits this animated world and you control him and his sidekick Flux. On the way to gathering the ingredients, the pair must solve some devilishly cunning puzzles. These will have even the more experienced gameplayers scratching their heads, but thankfully not in frustration.
There is a host of oddball characters to interact with and these are brought brilliantly to life by excellent voiceovers by Tim Currie, Dom Deluise and Dan Castenaletta (Homer Simpson).
Toonstruck is a superb example of how to put together games of this nature and will provide endless hours of brain-teasing fun.
