A rare spectacle will be visible in the sky in the early hours of tomorrow morning.
The total lunar eclipse will see the full moon dim dramatically beginning at 12.35am with full totality lasting 51 minutes beginning at 3am.
Cloudy weather may spoil the spectacle for some star gazers and the best chance of breaks in the cloud are over the south east.
For those lucky enough to catch a glimpse they will see the full moon appear a dim shade of red or orange. The exact colour will not be known beforehand and will depend on the condition of the Earth's atmosphere at the time.
