Belgrade - A top British diplomat arrived in court in Belgrade today to offer legal assistance to the two Britons facing possible terrorism charges.

Mr Robert Gordon, Britain's only diplomatic representative in Yugoslavia, will help the local defence team appointed to represent the two policemen. He refused to comment on the case as he arrived at the courthouse accompanied by two Yugoslav lawyers.

Mr Adrian Prangnell and Mr John Yore were arrested, with two Canadians, last Tuesday by military authorities in Yugoslavia who claimed they were planning sabotage. They are charged with possession of explosives, attempted terrorist acts and illegal entry into Yugoslavia.
