A celebration of Toomevara's prowess in hurling and music has been brought together with the co-operation of residents in a video and CD collection.
The north Tipperary parish with a population of 1,900 people fielded this year's captain of the victorious all-Ireland county team.
Famous players going back to the 1920s include Matt Hassett, the captain of the 1961 team. Also from the parish were: "the Wedger" Maher; Martin Kennedy; and Phil Shanahan and John Hough who were part of the three-in-a-row team between 1949 and 1951.
Mr Paddy Shanahan produced two videos, Toomevara: Life, Song, Sport & Story and The Homecoming which recaptures the moments of this year's all-Ireland success.
"Hurling plays a very central part in the life of the community of Toomevara," he said.
He began the project originally because he was so taken with the local scenery around Devilsbit Mountain that he wanted to bring it into people's homes.
It evolved into a history of the area and 30 hours of filming. The music soundtrack became a CD after former Fleadh Cheoil sean n≤s winner Ms Bernie Ryan became involved. "We got a bit enthusiastic when he started the video. There is a lot going on music-wise in the area," she said.
Ms Ryan organised an array of local talent, including another seven Fleadh Cheoil winners for the production of The Album - 2001. "There are seven live tracks. We decided to have a session to get as many of the locals as possible included," she said.
