A commemorative stone to mark the spot where Theobald Wolfe Tone was captured by the British has been unveiled at the Old Quay in Buncrana, Co Donegal, marking the end of the celebrations of the 1798 Rebellion by the United Irishmen.
Plans to mark Tone's connections with the town were scaled down during the summer be- cause of the deaths of three local children and two Spanish visitors in the Omagh bombing.
