A minor fire interrupted the FAI Carlsberg Cup final between Shamrock Rovers and Derry city for ten minutes at Tolka Park this afternoon.
The fire broke out 15 minutes into the final when the protective covering at the base of a pylon and a small section of the advertising hoardings went up in flames at a part of the ground housing Shamrock Rovers fans.
Stewards dealt with the blaze swiftly but as the crowd had spilled onto the pitch to escape the smoke and fumes, it was ten minutes before the game could resume.
No-one appeared to have been seriously hurt in the incident.
