Tipperary anglers are champions

This year's Bank of Ireland National Disabled Angling Championships were won by Tipperary

This year's Bank of Ireland National Disabled Angling Championships were won by Tipperary. In a thrilling final in Aughrim, Co Wicklow, last Sunday, Tipperary emerged as clear winners over Carlow, with a total of 33 trout.

The Minister for the Environment, Mr Howlin, Wicklow TD, Mr Liam Kavanagh and Bank of Ireland representative, Ms Saranna Condell, presented the winning team with a perpetual trophy and a cheque for £500. Results: 1, Tipperary, 1,492 pts (33 fish); 2, Carlow, 1,274 (28); 3, Wicklow, 1,164 (26); Clare, 910 (21).
