Three young people were being treated in hospital yesterday after a gun attack at an Easter house party. A shot was fired through the window of a house in Corduff Grove in Blanchardstown, west Dublin, at about 4.20am yesterday, gardaí said.
Two young men and a young woman were wounded in the incident. They are aged between their late teens and mid-20s, a Garda spokeswoman said. They were sitting on a couch in the front room at the time of the incident.
They were taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital, Blanchardstown, for treatment. It is understood their injuries are not life-threatening. There were a number of youths in the house at the time of the attack. No one had been arrested last night.
Separately, four men arrested in relation to a drugs seizure in Carlow last week appeared at a special sitting of the town’s District Court on Saturday.
Gardaí arrested the men and seized a quantity of cannabis herb with an estimated street value of up to €650,000, following a planned operation in the town on Friday evening.
