Two men and a woman arrested in north Dublin yesterday in connection with an ongoing investiation into dissident republican groups, are still being held.
The three were arrested after a flat on Ulster Street, Phibsboro was raided by gardaí at about 4.30 pm.
Components for five pipe bomb devices were discovered during the raid.
Members of the Army bomb disposal unit were called in to assist gardaí in examining the components, which were found to contain no explosive material.
Tne pipe bombs are being linked to the Continuity IRA (CIRA).
Members of the Garda Technical Bureau will carry out an in-depth examination of the property throughout today. The seized components will also be examined by the Garda’s technical experts.
The three people arrested yesterday, who are all in their thirties are currently being held at Blackrock and Donnybrook Garda stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act. They can be detained for up to 72 hours.
