Three men charged in connection with the murder of Limerick criminal figure Kieran Keane have been further remanded in custody.
Mr James McCarthy (23) and Mr David Stanners (31), both of Pineview Gardens, Moyross, and Mr Christopher Costelloe (20) of Moylish Avenue, Ballynanty, are charged with kidnapping Keane on January 29th last.
All three men are also charged with abducting Keane's nephew, Mr Owen Treacy, on the same date.
Limerick District Court heard that a book of evidence — comprising some 500 pages and 720 statements — is being examined by the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions with a view to further charges.
Judge Tom O'Donnell remanded all three in custody to re-appear before Limerick District Court on June 25th.
Keane was shot dead in an attack during which his nephew survived multiple stab wounds.
Two other men are also in custody on charges relating to the same incident.
