Three men have been killed in separate road crashes in Laois and Clare.
A man in his 20s died this evening following a two-vehicle collision on the Ennistymon Road outside Milltown Malby in Co Clare.
The driver of the first car and the driver and passenger of the second car were taken to Ennis General Hospital with what are described as non life threatening injuries.
Road diversions are in place and Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are expected at the scene.
Two men were killed in a crash on the N7 Dublin-Limerick road this morning.
The collision involving two cars took place shortly after 7.30am between Pike of Rushhall and Castletown, near Mountrath, Co Laois.
The two victims, aged in their late 20s and early 30s, were pronounced dead at the scene and a middle-aged woman has been taken by ambulance to Portlaoise General Hospital. Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
