Three men have died following road traffic collisions in Limerick, Dublin and Galway.
Gardaí in Rush in north Dublin are investigating a single vehicle crash in which a man was fatally injured in the early hours of this morning.
The man (51), who was travelling alone, crashed into a wall on the Skerries Road in Rush shortly after midnight.
He was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The road was closed while the scene of the crash was investigated by a Garda technical team. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact Rush Garda station on (01) 8437202.
Separately, a man in his 20s died this afternoon when his motorcycle crashed into a pick-up truck which was towing a trailer in Co Limerick. The incident occurred at at Cloghnadromin in Ballysimon, at around 1.30pm. There were no other injuries.
Diversions are in place in the area while gardaí conduct a technical examination of the scene of the crash.
Meanwhile, a died in Co Galway yesterday in a crash involving a car and a motorcycle.
The motorcyclist (43) was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision at Knockdoebeg in Lackagh, just
off the Galway-Tuam road, at about 4.30pm yesterday. His body was removed to Galway University Hospital.
The driver of the car was not injured.
The scene of the collision is expected to remain closed until this afternoon while gardaí carry out a forensic examination. Diversions have been put in place.
