A man had part of his ear bitten off and a reception area was badly damaged as two rival mobs staged a pitched battle at a Northern Ireland hospital.
The trouble began when the two groups squared up to each other outside Deck's nightclub in the village of Eglinton, Co Derry.
One man had part of his foot severed when it was trapped under the wheel of a car that was trying to flee the area.
A police spokesman says one of the groups was attacked as they got into a car to leave the area. It is alleged that as the vehicle drove off, one of the occupants held on to the man and his foot became trapped.
The trouble switched to Derry's Altnagelvin Hospital, where the injured man and several others were taken. The two factions again confronted each other, causing major damage.
One man had part of his ear bitten off, while a woman was knocked unconscious.
Police have arrested a man for alleged grievous bodily harm and another for alleged dangerous driving causing grievous bodily injury.
Several more arrests are pending.
