Three people arrested by RUC Drug Squad Officers at a nightclub in Armagh at the weekend appeared at a special court in the city.

Mr Philip Ian Cooke (20), a slaughterman, of Hamiltonsbawn Road, Armagh, is charged with possessing 119 ecstasy tablets with an estimated street value of £1,785 in the car park of the nightclub at Moy Road. Mr Cooke is also charged with having the drugs with intent to supply. He did not seek bail and was remanded in custody to Belfast Magistrates Court on Thursday.

Mr Aidan McCartan (19) a student, of Anderstown Crescent, Belfast, was ordered to be held in custody until the same court. He is charged with having 21 tablets, possessing theme with intent to supply and having cannabis resin worth £250.

Ms Sarah Agnes McConville (24), of Forfar Street, Belfast, faces two charges relating to 35 ecstasy tablets which police estimate are valued at £500. She was freed on bail totalling, £1,250, pending a further appearance at Armagh Magistrates Court on April 30th.
