Police are questioning three men today after a failed bomb attack by dissident republicans in Northern Ireland last night.
They were detained in Armagh city, where a device was found in a hijacked car in car park at the City Hotel, close to the grounds of a police station.
The security alert caused traffic and commercial disruption in Armagh yesterday before British army bomb experts carried out controlled explosions on the car and a "viable" device.
The car in which the bomb was found was stolen from the home of a pensioner on the Ballyrath Road in the city.
Men describing themselves as republicans stole a Vauxhall Vectra and a Peugeot 406 from the property, along with a shotgun.
An elderly woman who was at home when the theft happened late on Tuesday night was left badly shocked.
The Vectra was found loaded with gas cylinder devices. Military experts carried out controlled explosions on the abandoned car.
