Three men arrested in connection with the murder of Andrew Burns in Donegal over a week ago have been released.
The men, aged 18, 33 and 42, were arrested on Friday in Strabane, Co Tyrone. They were released from custody last night.
Andrew Burns (27), a painter and decorator, was found on Tuesday evening with two bullet wounds to his abdomen near St Columba's church in the village of Doneyloop.
People attending a youth club found the painter lying on the road after he staggered from the car park and collapsed bleeding from his wounds.
A number of people, including a nurse, tried to resuscitate him but he died a short time later. It is thought he was abducted in Strabane town centre an hour earlier a short distance away on the northern side of the border.
It is understood some time previously he had been shot in an attack by dissident republicans. The Real IRA denied they were responsible for the murder.
A police spokeswoman said the three men had been released unconditionally.
