A man in his early 70s has died following a collision between a van and a car in Co Wicklow this morning.
The two-vehicle collision occurred on the N81 at Whitestown, Baltinglass at 10.15am.
The driver of the car was taken to Naas General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the van, a man in his late 30s, was also taken to hospital in Naas. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The road is currently closed pending forensic examination and diversions are in place.
Meanwhile, on Co Waterford, a 19-year-old motorcyclist and a woman in her 40s died following a collision between a car and a motorbike yesterday afternoon.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital where she later died. She was the only occupant of the car.
The crash took place at 3.30pm at Colligan, Dungarvan.
