Three people have died in separate road collisions today.
A teenager and a man in his 20s were killed in collisions in Co Westmeath and Co Cork, and a motorcyclist died when his vehicle hit a car in Co Clare.
The teenager was killed in a two-vehicle road crash in Westmeath.
The deceased man (19) was the driver and sole occupant of one of the vehicles. The incident took place on the Athboy to Delvin road at 3.20pm.
The man was pronounced dead on arrival at the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar.
There were two people in the second vehicle. One of these was admitted to hospital with injuries described by gardaí as “not life threatening”.
The road was closed tonight pending the completion of an examination by Garda forensic collision investigators. Local diversions were in place.

Separately in Co Cork, a man in his 20s was killed in a two car collision on the main Cork to Skibbereen Road outside Rosscarbery tonight. Three other people were injured in the incident.
The crash happened about a mile west of Rosscarbery at about 8pm and one man was pronounced dead.
Two others were removed by ambulance to Cork University Hospital where it is understood that one was in a critical condition.
A man in his 40s died this morning when the motorbike he was driving was in collision with a car in Co Clare.
The incident occurred on the R352 Ennis to Tulla road at 7.30am.
Gardaí at Ennis are investigating and have asked anyone with information or who may have witnessed it to contact them on 065 6848100 or on the Garda Confidential Line.
Five people died on the roads during the bank holiday weekend. The total number of fatalities on the road this year is now 179, compared to 196 in the same period last year.
