Three people have died following separate road crashes in Co Limerick.
A man (60) and a woman (59) died when their car collided with a lorry at Carraturk near Ballylanders at around 12.20pm today. Their bodies have been removed to the Mid West Regional Hospital in Limerick.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
The road remains closed pending a Garda technical examination.
Gardaí in Limerick are also investigating another fatal road crash that took place at 2.25am yesterday morning at Camass in Bruff.
A 19-year-old woman died of her injuries at the Mid Western Regional Hospital this morning. She was the only occupant of the car.
Meanwhile, gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a crash in Newcastle, Co Dublin on Tuesday nigh.
A 16-year-old boy died when the car he was a passenger in hit a wall on the Lyons Road at around 11.10pm. The driver was seriously injured.
Gardaí have asked anyone who saw a black 04 D-registered Renault Megane driving from Celbridge towards Newcastle on the Lyons Road around the time of the crash to contact them.
