A 40 year old man has pleaded not guilty to raping a young boy in Co Cork in 1993. Mr Justice Flood has asked the jury to return to the Central Criminal Court this morning to begin hearing the case.
Yesterday the jury was sent home without hearing evidence to allow defence and prosecution counsel to make legal submissions in its absence.
The accused man has pleaded not guilty to three charges of raping the boy, now 14, on unknown dates between June and July 1993.
