Three men from west Dublin were arrested in Navan, Co Meath, at the weekend as part of the Operation Anvil, the Garda clampdown on organised crime.
Gardaí said they seized a firearm and items of body armour during a planned search of a house in the town.
Two men appeared before a special sitting of Navan District Court on Saturday night. Both were wanted by gardaí on warrants and were remanded in custody to appear before Mullingar District Court on June 2nd.
A third man was held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act. He remained in custody at Blanchardstown Garda station last night.
