Three men in their twenties have been arrested at the Smithfield horse fair in Dublin city today.
One man was detained just before 11am on suspicion of stealing a horse.
Two other men were arrested a short time later for alleged public order offences and failing to control a horse.
The men were taken to the Bridewell Garda station where they were charged and then released.

There have been calls for the fair to be shut down after two men were shot and a third was injured with a slash hook at the fair last month.
Lord Mayor of Dublin Gerry Breen has written to Attorney General Máire Whelan requesting that legislation be drafted that would allow Dublin City Council to close the fair.
