The Ulster Unionist MP for West Tyrone, Mr William Thompson, said yesterday that he was still considering his position within the party despite having said he would resign from it if it entered into government with Sinn Fein.
Mr Thompson had made the statement following Saturday's Ulster Unionist Council vote which approved UUP entry into an executive including Sinn Fein without prior decommissioning.
"It was my intention to resign from the party, but I have been under a lot of pressure in recent days to remain until February's meeting of the Ulster Unionist Council and to wait and see whether decommissioning takes place and the Executive is still in place", he said.
