The Cube, the smaller of the two theatres in the new Project in Essex Street, has an audience capacity of 90. It can be used in darkness or daylight, and is generally a multi-purpose space of great flexibility. In stage terms, it is sound-proofed and equipped with modern facilities. First play in, opening next Wednesday, is Ken Harmon's Wide Boy Gospel (featuring Ronan Leahy, right), a Bedrock production which recently premiered at the Greenwich International Festival. It is a comedy set in Dublin at the time of the literally riotous Ireland-England soccer match in Lansdowne Road in 1995, and is a winner of the Stewart Parker Award 2000.
