The Gravity Of Honey

BRUCE Rodgers's play is a careful, traditional construct, an earnest quest for the Meaning of Life. Washed out priest (in a dying parish of a fading church) meets "vocal artiste", who is taken over by her vision of God. By turns, the telling is witty, clever and arrestingly dramatic.

It draws a dynamic performance of verve and variety from Angela Fiordellisi (Honey). Her transformation from feisty dame to articulate paraplegic is a tour de force. Des Keogh (Father Benjamin) is a marvellous foil to her. His acting - never better is relaxed, warm and dignified.
