Ten pay more than €1 million to Revenue

The single largest settlement was made by Mr Michael Russell, a meat wholesaler from Beach Court, Salthill, Co Galway, who was listed as having a bogus non-resident account.

Publican Mr E J King, from Clifden, Co Galway, paid a total of €2,980,985 in tax, interest and penalties in relation to a bogus non-resident account.

In relation to the Revenue's Ansbacher investigations, Mr Edward P Lynam, Navan Road, Dublin 7, paid a total of €2,812,413, while Mr James J Lynam (deceased), La Vista Avenue, Sutton, Co Dublin, paid €2,122,171.66.

Other large payments were made by carpet and furniture retailer Mr Michael Treacy (€2,458,898) of Blackwell, Bennettsbridge, Co Kilkenny; rental property owner Ms Maud Liddy (€1,300,000) of Newpark Avenue, Blackrock; company director Mr Thomas J Glynn (€1,146,582) of Kileen, Ballindine, Claremorris, Co Mayo; and Mr Francis J Cooke (€1,015,000), a retired photographer from Fair Hill, Galway.

One of the most famous names on the full list is horse trainer Mr Michael Hourigan of Lisaleen, Patrickswell, Co Limerick, who paid €32,735 in relation to a bogus non-resident account.
