Urban renewal tax reliefs will be introduced on a "selective" basis to facilitate the development of Dublin's redundant docklands area, extending from the Custom House to the Pigeon House, according to the Minister for Finance.
Mr Quinn said the range of "selective tax reliefs" would be based on the recommendations set out in the report of a multi disciplinary team of consultants who are currently engaged in preparing a master plan for the area.
Their work is "on target and will be completed by March 31st", he said. Legislation to establish a Docklands Development Authority, into which the Custom House Docks will be "subsumed", would also be enacted by then.
