THE multi-party Northern talks will be "parked" next Wednesday until after the British general election, writes Geraldine Kennedy, Political Correspondent.

Both the Tanaiste, Mr Spring, and the Northern Secretary, Sir Patrick Mayhew, will attend the last session at Stormont.

The Anglo-Irish intergovernmental conference meeting arranged for Wednesday has been postponed for a week. The Government hopes to present the British government with its examination of the new Bloody Sunday evidence at that meeting.
