Talks to reduced noise and construction vibration have helped ease the dispute which threatened to stop work on the Balbriggan by-pass, a Dublin court has heard.
A barrister, Mr Kevin Kearney, and his wife, Ms Marian Long, of Tara Grove, Balbriggan, have claimed construction work only yards from their home had created intolerable vibration.and Wills Brothers Plant Hire Ltd from continuing construction work just some 100 yards from their Co Dublin home.
Mr Seamas O Tuathail, for the applicants, said a Forbairt report on the issue had made recommendations to ease the problem. Mr John Doherty, for the local authority, said it was a matter of some eggs having to be broken to make an omelette.
Judge Diarmuid Sheridan adjourned the matter for a fortnight and suggested the close liaison between the parties should continue.
